Join members of Seattle H Scene, Vancouver H Friends, Portland Area Friends and members of other H groups from other cities for Seattle's 2010 National Event!  This is your chance to experience the glorious long summer days, sunshine and temperate climate of Summer in the Pacific Northwest!  Plus, we've got a variety of indoor and outdoor events to appeal to all of our in-town and out-of-town guests!  Hiking in the local mountains, Sailing/Boating on the Puget Sound and/or Lake Washington and Lake Union, Sightseeing and Walking Tours, Pike Place Market, Dinner and Dancing, and much more!

POC People of Color National Event!

The Queen City welcomes the POC Family at this year's POCSN National event being held 25-27 June 2010.

This year's event schedule reflects the multifaceted nature of Charlotte itself. There is fun, competition, adventure and community.  Check out www.pocsn.org for policies, registration payment information, and more.  Your $65 registration goes entirely to the event (nonprofit) and gives you access to the exact details of the entire weekend on the members-only group.  

We're staying at a prominent downtown hotel ($99+tax) with a pool and access to everything we need. Reserve your room early! Room rates are only good until 31 May.  

There is an early bird hang-out on Thursday, Friday features a newbie Q&A forum and the historic and hysterical POC vs POC bowling.

Saturday allows choices from an amusement park to a museum.

Saturday evening brings the family all together for fine dining and dancing out on the town, and, Sunday is filled with hugs and tears at our farewell breakfast.  

The most important thing about this event is that it gives us a chance to see YOU!  Enjoy the sights of the city or luxuriate in the hotel.  If you're coming for the first time or if you've attended for all 11 years, we're looking forward to seeing your royal presence in the Queen City.  

The Indy Event 2010!!! Indylicious!

Welcome!  The Indy 2010 Event (“INDYLICIOUS”) is on and at a brand new location!  This is the largest National Event in the Midwest!  

This is just a partial itinerary for the event.  As always, we will add more things as people pay their event fees so PLEASE pay early!  

You MUST mention "Indy Friends" when making a reservation with the hotel to get into our room block!!!  

Thursday

7:00pm meet us at the Atrium in the Hotel.  We’ll be serving appetizers and providing a bartender. Please note that the appetizers are just that so please be considerate so there’s enough for everyone. 

Friday

12pm-6ish Hang out at the pool or sightsee around Indy! Anyone Sightseers meet in the lobby at noon. 

1:00ish Join us poolside for a terrific pizza party (or served in either the Indiana Room or Atrium in the event of rain.)

Evening entertainment – On your own but we have a great list of places for you to explore.

10:00ish Join us for a private party at the pool!

Saturday

12:30 to 6:00ish join us at the pool for the ultimate pool party!!  We will be having a lunch catered poolside!!!!!  We’ll be having a raffle of some great door prizes.  You won’t want to miss out on the pool party fun (volleyball, water toys, music).
